About Me

Hi! My name is Ashley Chemerinsky, and I am 21 years old. I am a graduate of Munster High School, and I am in my third year here at Purdue. I am studying secondary education with an empahsis in History. I plan on moving to Florida in Janurary. I will attend Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. I plan to keep studying education, but I will also add a minor of Jewish Studies. I plan to use the Jewish Studies minor to teach in a religious school down in Florida. I have a little bit of background knowledge in Jewish Studies already because I am very proud to say I am Jewish. Like my dad says I am his Jewish American Princess. With that in mind, I am obsessed with the brand Chanel!

My Family

I have an awesome loving family. My mom's name is Jan and she works at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Munster. She is the assistant to the General Manager. My dad's name is Ira and he works for an electrical company in South Chicago. I have a sister who is 24, her name is Rachael. She is still in school. She had a change of plans after 4 years of education at Purdue University in West Lafayete. She transfered to Harrington School of Interior Design in Chicago. The big family joke is are my sister and I ever going to graduate from college or do we really just like to waste our dad's money. She works at Starbucks of Star Plaza in Merriville, and also at in interior design firm in Dyer. So far this job is just an intership, but they are very impressed with the work she is capable of doing and the work she has completed. We just recently got a dog. After 10 years of not having a dog, my sister and I convinced my mom and dad to get it for the new family pet.We were going to get a new bird or some fish, but instead we convinced them to get the dog. Her name is Precious Chanel Chemerinsky, she is 4 years old and is a black pure breed Cocker Spaniel. She came from an abused home. The whole family felt as though she needed a safe living enviornment with lots of love. We definitely give her the love and attention she needs. She is a spoiled rotten dog, that has the best life ever.

My Hobbies

I have many hobbies. Work isn't really a hobby, but usually I am always there so it has turned into my number one hobby. When I am not at work I love to go shopping. I have a little problem buying shoes and purses. The even bigger problem is I like to buy the expensive shoes and purses. I also have a weakness for jewelry as well.

After shopping comes vacationing. I love to take trips to tropical or non tropical locations. I am very interested in understanding how other people live outside of Indiana. I love hearing the different lingo and language of the different states. In Wisconin, I learned that a water fountain is a bubbler, and if you go down South its soda not pop. I have been all ovethe United States, some states I have missed. While I have been to other states. Obviously I have seen almost all of Indiana and Illinois.I have seen Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, California, Nevada, Colorado, and a brief trip to Canada. I have also been to Aruba, Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, and Fiji. I want to take a trip to Israel and see what life is like over there. I think that trip is going to be put on hold due to the fighting and it is a little too unsafe for me to go visit.

My next hobby is watching TV and relaxing with my family. I have a huge list of favorite TV shows. I have different channels that I like to watch and I have a set schedule for almost every night of the week.
